Turbine is a developer of large-scale, online RPGs that gained recognition for its successful first title, Asheron's Call. The privately held Massachusetts-based company exclusively develops massively multiplayer computer games that are capable of simultaneously handling over 100,000 players. In February, 2005, the company officially changed its name from Turbine Entertainment Software Corp. to Turbine, Inc.
