Synopsis
Have you ever raced a remote-controlled car around your house or yard and wished you could be in the driver's seat as you skidded around the sofa or jumped off a ramp over the dog? Well, now you can in Sierra's 3D Ultra Radio Control Racers. Select one of four cars and race against a friend or the computer on one of eight different tracks.
Boot up the game and pick your car. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, but as you win races you also win money which you can use to upgrade your car for later events. In addition to single races against human or AI opponents, there are also four circuit modes: Amateur, Professional, Super, and Shuffle. Amateur takes you on the four easiest tracks while Professional takes you on the four toughest ones. Super includes all eight while Shuffle serves up four randomly chosen ones. Each race consists of a qualifying race and then the main event. You earn points and money after each race; the racer with the most points wins the circuit.
While you race you can collect power-ups which you can use to slow down your opponents. Use a turbo boost to rocket ahead or an electro shock to zap another car. An oil slick is sure to slow down anyone behind you while a bottle rocket will take care of anyone ahead of you.
So strap yourself in and get ready to race. Just watch out for those lawn gnomes!

Extra Credits
Remote-controlled cars which you can drive around your house or yard were obviously a primary influence on this game. In the video game arena, 1993's Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo, with its power-ups and similar feel, was most likely an influence as well.
