Synopsis
Metropolis 4 is in the midst of an android revolution. Sentient rebel robots, tired of playing second banana to half-human, half-machine cyborgs, are attempting to take over the world. As a cyborg, you can help subvert this uprising by fighting a series of one-on-one battles against tough, solid steel robots with such names as The Ape, Crusher, Loader, Morphing Supervisor and Builder. As in most fighting games, you must win two out of three fights in each confrontation to advance and grapple with the next character. This cyborg-versus-robot futuristic fighting game also features music by Queen guitarist Brian May.

Extra Credits
Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter II virtually created a genre. Previous to these two groundbreaking, controversial games, the few fighting games in the arcades were living in relative obscurity. Rise of the Robots is one of the many pale imitations of these two greats.
