Jewels of the Oracle

Synopsis

by Michael L. House

Jewels of the Oracle is a puzzle game, pure and simple, set in a dark and mysterious underground chamber somewhere in the Fertile Crescent (land of the ancient Sumerian civilization). In this setting, there is an overall plot of sorts as you must solve the puzzles, each in it's own room, and take your reward for doing so (a jewel) back to the Oracle's room where it will be placed in it's rightful place on the wall. Once all the jewels are returned, you'll be recognized as a master of logic and allowed to leave the chamber. If you fail, you will be lost forever since once you enter the secret complex, you can't leave without solving all the puzzles.

Nearly two dozen intricate puzzles of logic and reason, ranging from easy to diabolically difficult, await you in the Oracle's domain. Each puzzle stands on it's own and all the puzzles are available from the beginning of the game, so if you get stuck you can move on and then come back to the tough ones. Jewels of the Oracle is a test of your reasoning and logic capabilities.

The Macintosh version includes options for 256 color (6Mb RAM), thousands of colors (9MB RAM) or millions of colors (Quadra-class).
