Synopsis
The Cartoon Universe is about to be destroyed because Koala Lumpur has indigestion. While looking for a remedy, he reads a scroll he finds on the inside of his fez and inadvertently starts a chain reaction that will lead to an apocryphal comedic event unless he and his trusty companions can find a way to stop it.
You play the part of Fly, a yellow and black buzzing insect who leads the marsupial Koala Lumpur on a quest to find the pieces of the all-important Lost Scroll of Cartoon Prophesies. According to Ella Mental, the Supreme Being of the Cartoon Universe, failure to complete the quest will result in the release of the sinister Macho de Nada who will unleash a Comedy Apocalypse, destroying all.
Koala Lumpur: Journey to the Edge is a graphic cartoon adventure in which the player will travel to four bizarre worlds, each with brain-teasing puzzles to solve. Along the way, Fly and Koala Lumpur will meet and interact with such characters as Dr. Dingo Tu-far, scientist, companion, the world's greatest lover and man of action (he's a dog), Tuff Luv, a therapist/drill sergeant in the Stream of Consciousness, Annie Body, the smartest and loneliest girl in the world and Woody Knot, a.k.a. "The Dummy."
Gameplay is directed through mouse movement as most locales have 360-degree scrolling environments. Administrative elements of the game are handled by selecting game option menus. As your characters Journey to the Edge, they'll visit Dingo's Atoll, The Land of Lost Things, The Stream of Consciousness and The Eye in the Sky. The repository for inventory items in the game is Koala's magical fez, known as Fezzo.

Extra Credits
The character Koala Lumpur was created by James Baker, as was the original concept wherein the player takes the part of Fly, a buzzing insect, and basically leads the main character around the game world. The game is a late 1990s entry into the growing ranks of computer cartoon graphic adventure games with formats reminiscent of the Sam & Max series as well as the Monkey Island games.
