Synopsis
Thirty years ago, the great and terrible war between the Pernitians and the Terran colony worlds ended with the Pernitians defeat. After the war the Earth Defense Council decided to set up fleets of battlecruisers to protect the colonies from future attacks. Now the Pernitians are back, and are destroying the battlecruisers and slaughtering human colonists on the border worlds. In response to this new threat the council has sent the battlecruiser Sutherland to the area in conflict. It's mission: free the colony worlds, travel to the Pernitian home world and end the alien threat once and for all. You are an elite pilot on the cruiser Sutherland, piloting the War Griffon transformable fighter to planet surfaces and underwater to eliminate the Pernitian threat and accomplish other objectives the Sutherland high command has set for you. Destroy force field generators, stop enemy convoys, collect resources, or even destroy planet cloaking devices to uncover new planets to explore in Battlemorph, a 3D freeform shooter with heavy exploration elements. Each of the game's missions puts you on the surface of a planet, armed with guns and other weapons. You can explore the planet's surface and underwater, and complete objectives any way you wish. However, your ship has a limited amount of energy that, when depleted, results in destruction. To regain energy, you will need to dive into health restoring pools.
