Review
Obviously influenced by the frantic highway scenes in Frogger, Freeway has each player maneuvering a chicken vertically while dodging traffic on one of eight different expressways, attempting to cross the road as many times as possible within 2 minutes and 16 seconds. Getting smacked by a vehicle won't create potpie, but it will knock the chicken back either one lane or to the beginning, depending on the skill level. While the chicken looks a bit sickly, the graphics are otherwise crisp and clear, and the constant din of engines and horns sounds realistic. Though lacking a variety of obstacles, Freeway is enjoyable, especially in two-player mode, yet it is not as versatile as Frogger since the chicken cannot move horizontally or jump.
