Synopsis
Drawing inspiration from a wide range of subjects and classics; Casablanca, the Mexican Day of the Dead, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and more; Grim Fandango is a story of one man.. er.. skeleton's trials and troubles in the Land of the Dead.
You play Manuel (Manny Calavera), a travel agent employed by the department of death. Manny's job is to travel to the Land of the Living, and bring people back to the Land of the Dead to sell them a travel package for their four year journey all souls must take to their final resting place.
Manny meets up with crime and corruption in his journey to meet his status quo. Manny finds himself in the middle of an embezzelment ring, which is robbing him of all the best customers. After finding this out, Manny steals a prime prospect from a rival travel agent/right hand man of Hector LeMans: crime syndicate head. Manny's job is not only on the line, but his entire existance is as well.
With 80 puzzles, 90 locals in 5fiveworlds, more than 50 interactive characters, fabulous 3D animation graphics, and an intriguing story, Grim Fandango aims to please.
